Weather Improves

The weather in California is shifting for the better.

As you know the fires raging in Southern California are destroying everything in their path and the weather has been fueling them for days, on Saturday the winds were 101 miles per hour and now the winds have have shifted to come from the ocean, brining humidity. They have also slowed down to 50 miles per hour.

This is an optimistic change from the dry winds that were much faster. Fire fighters are hoping this trend will continue. I do too. The amount of damage and injury they have seen in California is enormous.

Educational Travel

It is a scientific fact that most people learn best by doing, from experiencing what is hard to explain. This is where educational travel enters in. We can talk about a monument without the listener ever really understanding. You can not really understand a culture without partaking in the culture. Traveling there, meeting the people, changes that. you are not only aware of the culture, you become a small part of the culture that was only in a book until you traveled there.

I am a huge fan of traveling for educational reasons. How can there be a better way to learn other than first hand knowledge? This is akin to the greatest field trip ever and I support it. If enough people try this we may be able to stamp out some long held misconceptions.

AS/400

Every modern business uses data, and to be competitive requires internet connectivity and all the exciting features found with that. In an effort to save money many enterprises will begin with a very small tech footprint, meaning, getting just the essential high tech equipment.

One way to do with would be to purchase a refurbished AS/400 or two. Just as good as brand new but significantly cheaper. This allows you to have hardware of a mid range IT department with less cost than your average corporate data center. Its certainly a smart way to handle that.

If you do not have an online presence you will lose a hefty portion of your market, and if your organizations network is distributed you will require some servers and properly configured data lines. It is possible to host your own web server, on your own location. Soem businesses do, others just buy hosting. Either method is acceptable.

New Governor

The state of Louisiana has elected a new governor, and its set some fascinating records. Bobby Jindel was elected by a landslide, he had 53% of the vote, beating 11 others. The closest percentage to him was 18%.Jindel is America’s youngest governor, and he is the first non-white since Reconstruction. Jindel’s parents came to the states form India to find the American dream. They did well, their son is now a Governor.

Jindel ran in 03, against Blanco, who decided not to run this time through as she received a lot of blame surrounding the hurricane recovery fiasco’s.

Congratulations to the new governor!

Mortgages

Currently people the word over are refinancing their mortgages in an effort to restructure their debt. This is a wise and prudent action as it affords them more liquid cash flow. One example of this is that soem people are obtaining adverse credit remortgages.

Mortgages are as common as homeowners.Chances are if you buy a home, you will also have a mortgage. Most people cannot buy their homes outright and so their borrow from a bank in order to finance their property.

If you are looking at buying a home you should should around and look into getting a home mortgage. There are some cheap mortgages available. This will allow you to get a home with a bit more worth, without handing over your whole paycheck every week. That is important to me, and I am sure it is important to you.

Good luck in your home search, its not as difficult as they say, but it takes some effort to have the home you always wanted.

Many people in today’s society have Bad Credit. It is really due to the fact that as a planet we depend on it or our economies would die out. However, they do not teach most of us how credit works in school. That and a relatively weak economy are causing some to appear like they have bad credit.

All is not lost, there are bad credit loans and lines of credit available for those requiring them, get a line of credit and get back on top of things!

Real Estate

So you are in the real estate market. It is an interesting place to be, that is for certain!

Buying a home is the first step on the way to growth, it will assist your credit and give you the sense of pride that homeownership grants. If you are really wanting to get a nice place look into Long Island New York homes, as they are some of the finer property in the North East.

Get in touch with a good real estate agent, they will know the neighborhoods, and give you tips on things you may not otherwise know. They know the ins and outs of this stuff, because they live it, and they went to school for it, so take advantage of their considerable experience.

Going to the site I linked will do 2 things depending on if you are buying or selling, if buying you can sign up on their site and if a home comes up for sale matching your requirements they will email you, making you aware before it is officially listed.

If you are selling a home, you can receive a free market evaluation of the real estate. You can also peruse their strategy for your property. All in all, a fantastic deal.

Judge Eliminates Evidence

A judge has eliminated quite a bit of “evidence” from a lawsuit involving the 9/11 tragedy, specifically in a suit aginst American Airlines.

The people that received calls from people on board the jet that smashed in the Pentagon building will not be able to testify. The judge feels that it is  speculative.

Dr. Paul Ambrose, who was an advisor to the Surgeon General, died on September 11th, that fateful year. His parents are suing the airline for damages and the trial is set to go next month.

The Surgeon General will not be allowed to testify as to Dr. Ambrose’s future job prospects.  Also eliminated was testimony regarding a noted discovered at the scene of the crash, testimony from a man burned in the Pentagon, or pictures of body parts.

Grants

This extended education becoming more and more important daily, going to college is becoming almost mandatory. I encourage everyone to go to college even if you never major, you are a step ahead.

College is not free, and it is beyond the means of many because of it, Financial Aid only goes so far. So what does a person who wants a college education do? Well certainly apply for Financial Aid. Also, look into grants and scholarships. Prior to current times, the biggest difficulty with grants and scholarships was the fact that most went unknown. However, presently they have been compiled into a easy to search format allowing you to discover them, if only you will search this site. The site has free scholarships and its free to search them. Free is best right?

So now that you have the means, what will you major in? I think this site is fantastic, and I am waiting on my sister to get home so I can tell her about it. She has been stressing on where the money for college was going to come from. She’s a fantastic artist and I am pretty sure she can get a grant or two based on that.
