Rather Sues CBS

Saying that CBS News made him a  fall guy in the networks crummy reporting  about President Bush’s tour in the National Guard, in Vietnam, Dan Rather has filed suit for 70 million.

His suit names 3 supervisors, the network, and the corporation with owns CBS. He claims his contract was broken, and his reputation hurt. Rather is now 75, and is working at some obscure cable station. Rather feels sidelined.

His attorney maintains that Rather was ignored, and understaffed, with no editing services.

CBS says these are old complaints, and do not posses merit.

He is seeking 20 million in compensation and 50 million in punitive damages.
