Myanmar Curfew Lifted

The curfew instituted by the military in Myanmar has been lifted. Previously, citizens had to be int heir homes from 9pm to 5 am, as this was when the military was performing their dirtiest deeds.

The ban of assembly was also repealed. this made illegal for couple to be in groups of 5 or more at any given time. Making things like school, and church impossible.

The fact that the junta is giving these things back to the people is troublesome because it indicates that the regime feels they have squashed the rebellion.

The junta has taken its soldiers out of the streets and went so far as to release some activist leaders. It it working to get in contact for discussion with some of the leaders in hiding.

The people who want democracy are bothered by the sudden complacency. they feel that the junta removed the monks that were demonstrating and jailed all the political dissidents.
