High Speed Chase

Police tried to pull over a vehicle on the Louisiana interstate that was going almost 25 miles an hour over the speed limit. They put on the sirens and lights but the vehicle did nto stop. Instead it sped up and weaved through traffic at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.

Police caught up with the speeder after he pulled off the interstate and into a Burger King parking lot. The driver got out and went inside the BurgerKing, as his mother worked there!

The driver was an 11 year old boy, who had been driving for 6 months. the boy was used to chauffeur his parents around, he had just dropped off his father at the hospital, and was returning to pick mom up from work.

Well I hope you were entertained. Sometimes the news on these sites is wild. It is alot of fun to read however. digghas good stuff too.

His parents were charged with improper supervision of a minor and allowing an unlicensed minor to drive.

David Curry

David Curry has died.

He was a professor of Law at the University of Chicago. He had become sick and then suddenly took a turn for the worse, he was in his early 70’s.

He was a fantastic teacher with a dramatic flair. He will be missed, as I am certain he inspired all of his students.

He was a professor at the university for 45 years, and considered an institution unto himself. There is a recording of him reading the US Constitution on the internet.

My condolences to his family, and I pray that the world that has survived him can be inspired by this great man.

Myanmar

The military junta in Myanmar has reportedly forced residents to march in support of the regime. They were threatened with heavy fines if they refused.

This is being done in response to a slew of protesting that kicked off with the protest last month done by the Buddhist  monks, protesting fuel cost increases.

Leaders of the political opposition have been hunted down alongside prominent activists. they are being kept in horrible conditions, and in separate prisons.

It has been said that they don’t have clean water or toilets, nor room to even lay down. How long before the UN steps in?  How is it we can attack Iraq for having poor leadership, but Myanmar isnt discussed? Does Myanmar need a significant oil supply before the world takes notice?

Mandela Still Alive, Someone Inform the President

Nelson Mandela is alive even if George Bush is completely unaware of this fact. Bush is ever the embarrassment of America.

Unfortunately Bush gets worldwide coverage every time he speaks, and most times, he makes a fool of us all.

Officials in South Africa are currently reassuring their citizens that Nelson is alive and that Bush is a moron.

Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years for fighting against the racist white government and apartheid. In 1994 he  became the nation’s first back president. Mandela received the Nobel peace prize for his efforts. He is 89 years old.

Ebay Addiction Blamed on Boss

A union official representing 9 nonproductive people fired for being addicted to ebay points his finger at the company boss and says its your fault for letting them have access to the internet.

No, I am not joking.

They are claiming that if the IT department had blocked ebay from their computers using firewall software that they then would not be able to surf to ebay or look at porn during work hours.

Yes, somehow the company is at fault.. They should have babysat the people they pay to come to work.

Thats ridiculous!

Employees were spending up to 2 hours a day on ebay, according to the company’s records.
