30 Years

A man is facing 30 years of prison for stealing a donut.

WHAT?!

Yes. Heres the story.

Scott Masters put a donut in his shirt, and then attempted to leave without paying, pushing a clerk int he process. The clerk had tried to stop the theft.

However, the fact that he pushed the clerk, makes it not a simple shoplifting, but instead transforms it to a strong armed robbery. That is 5-15 in the big house, but Masters has a past with the law, and the prosecution may ask for a full 30.

Masters is in shock, he cant believe they are doing this to him and denies he pushed a woman over a donut.

Verizon

Verizon is one of the largest cellular providers in America, and it has also been giving lots of data to law enforcement.

Verizon did not do it under warrant, nor did they check the validity of the claims that these people were authorized to request this information.

They have been doing this for some
years now.

This information is just now being told to the Senate who is currently investigating companies like Verizon and what role they are playing in the Bush Administration’s surveillance of Americans.

Verizons letter to the Senate also indicated the depth that the government was requesting information. For example, the letter said how the FBI would ask for the records of a given caller, who that caller called and who the people he called had then called.

Bad News for OJ

Charles Cashmore has decided to plead guilty and testify against OJ Simpson in the recent armed robbery case.

Thats bad news for OJ, he may not skate this time.

Cashmore says he was hired to carry some boxes and was unaware of anything else that was going to happen and had no criminal
intentions.

OJ says there was no robbery and no guns were used.

Cashmore can testify as to who had a gun and who did not and is therefore valuable to the prosecution.

Senator Appeals

Senator Craig is petitioning the Minnesota court of Appeals to be allowed to withdraw his guilty plea from the record. He apparently does not want to be convicted for gay bathroom sex.

Craig will have a difficult time getting his demands met, he will have to show proper cause, for example that the judge abused his discretion.

The judge refused to let him withdraw his plea saying it was detailed, voluntary, and clearly supported by evidence.

How embarrassing!

If you have ever won any amount of money in a lawsuit case, than you know how frustrating it can be to collect it. It dribbles in slowly, but you got bills now, and no creditor wants to hear excuses, they want money, and like most people so do you! There are answers to difficult issues like this one. You can obtain a Lawsuit Cash Advance to get you ahead of the situation. Many lawsuit awards are due to personal injury but sometimes people not injured forget that with injuries come medical bills. Drug Smugglers Busted

18 people were charged with drug smuggling, and some of them were airport employees. This demonstrates are large gap in our supposedly secure borders. Really disturbing really.

The investigation lasted 2 years. They found evidence including 110 pounds of cocaine, 55 pounds of heroin , and 6 pounds of exstacy.

I think if we paid our airline workers more, maybe they would smuggle drugs. Thats just my thinking.

The drugs were put into people’s luggage and then whisked away to an area that was secluded, past the the checkpoints ans security where the drugs were removed.

I am really amazed not that it occurred but that it took them 2 years to arrest these guys.

Smorty

I love blogging, its what I do. It is not just a hobby, it has become an obsession. I think about what I will write when I am not writing.

Blogging is not a new hobby, it has been around since 1994, but back then it was more like an online diary. That morphed into what is now called blogging, from the word, weblog.

The phenomenon is just picking up steam in the last few years, and many in the blogging community are also professionals, who share good and valid input. This kind of expertise lend credibility to the scene.

Blogs are called differently depending on the media they are posted on or from. A blog of videos is called a vlog. A blog full of links is referred to as a linkog, and with sketches its a sketchlog, and of course one made of photos is a photoblog. Blogs with posts that are shorter, and with lots of mixed up media are referred to as tumblelogs. An Artlog is a bit different, it relies more on art, over text, but is published in a blog format. A very rare type of blog is called a Phlog and is hoster on the Gopher protocol.

So I decided i wanted to get paid for blogging. I went and checked out a firm named Smorty. They get advertisement orders from business, and then notify you when they have a new campaign. You just login to your smorty account and accept the offer, write a post and get paid, its ridiculously simple. The offers have been many and its allowed me to make quite of bit of extra cash doing something I love.

I recommend this to anyone who wants to get paid for blogging.

Leads

For any sales based enterprise the single biggest challenge is people who want to buy the product. Often this is because they may be unaware the product exists. Companies often can not pay large sums of money into advertisement and still keep their quality product available for a low price. Sales Lead Generation is the number one task in these organizations. The internet has made it simpler to contact the masses of people but even so you must stand out to your prospective clients due to the sheer number of sales professions trying to drum up people ’s attention.

Hospital Falls

A lot of attention has been given recently — and properly — to the fact many terrible infections are received in hospitals. This is preventable  and should be be occurring.  Theres another source of injury patients are receiving in hospitals as well. Falls. Results from a fall can be very major. People in hospitals are already in poor condition. If a patient is at risk to falls it should be fully the hospitals burden to prevent  that.

Available precautions take severla forms, acompanying patients, using special chairs for the elderly, making sure they are stable in the restroom, answering the nurse button in a speedy manner,  and using restraints appropriately.  Falls can break bones, lead to head and brain injury , and in my opinion allowing people to get hurt in a place of healing is not right at all.

Time Tracking

They say time is money, and as a enterprise owner, you answer to the investors, or your own bottom line. If indeed time is money, how can we make more time, and in doing so make more money?

The answer is to use time tracking software. Turn your computer into an employee time tracker. Know who is doing what and for how long so you can adjust positions to best afford you the most strategic placement of employees. It can be run over the net, through a web interface or downloaded to your machine for free.
